Michelle Wesley

Michelle Wesley practices in our Commercial Litigation Group.

Michelle focuses on commercial litigation and business disputes, while she also handles a wide variety of civil litigation matters including real estate, municipal law, and employment law.

She developed significant litigation experience at a leading plaintiff’s trial firm in Chicago during her first two years of practice. Michelle has been successful in trying cases in state and federal court, and has also obtained favorable results in many cases through rigorous motion practice and settlement negotiations. As a law student, Ms. Wesley served as a student extern for Chief Judge Ruben Castillo at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois where she assisted in writing judicial decisions for the bench.

Michelle received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy I, Legal Writing III, Legal Writing IV, International Human Rights Law, and Family and Employment-Based Immigration Law.

Michelle was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2018 as a top rated general litigation attorney under 40 in Chicago. She was also selected as a top Emerging Lawyer for 2018 by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Leading Lawyer division.
