Michael Burney practices in the areas of litigation, corporate law, land use, municipal law, real estate and government approvals.

Mike was formerly a law clerk for Schain, Banks, Kenny & Schwartz, Ltd., where he quickly became a valued asset demonstrating sophisticated analytical and research skills that contributed to the development of many "out of the box" strategies that helped our clients overcome uncommon challenges.

Prior to working for Schain Banks, Michael worked as a Clipper/Coder for the Wisconsin Newslab which studied the content, bias and race coverage of elections by local news stations across the country.

Michael earned a JD from Chicago Kent College of Law in 2010. He obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006.
